whether the picture is fake or not is doesn't matter for the external world. why on earth the Chinese don't allow anyone else to has a first account on incidents ? This leaves no room to believe the Chinese version.
Pity on Chinese who live under constant repression but still think they are free

    Dear Shuliang,

You are right: I myself used Photoshop to change the size of the image to fit on my web page. If you call that misleading...

Why don't you get equally excited about the wide scale deception by your own Government - little blind spot perhaps? What about the video?

    shit. i deleted my post.
oh, the pic about chinese army posting as monks, it's not fake. but it's from year 2002. So far, someone got some evidences that says, these soldiers are walker-on in a movie called The Touch, stars Yeoh Choo Kheng(Michelle Yeoh) and Ben Chaplin. Directed by Peter Pau. It's not conclusive yet. Waiting for further news.

    Thank you Stimet.
So far this is the third title someone suggested.
I also had a hint that it was a movie on the China-appointed Panchen Lama, and at that stage the monks refused to act. It would make the story more 'juicy'

I remember a couple of years ago, when some FalunGong guys burned themselves in TianAnMen square. White media was saying that was fake, ingnoring the fact that those half burnt people lying in hospital. Now this time is the same.

Any so-called 'evidence' can be interpretated differently to fit personal interests.

Go to http://supersizelulu.spaces.live.com/ and find out how you might have been brain-washed by your 'independent' 'free' 'virtuous' media.

    Dear Lulu,
You should really ask your English teacher to check the name you chose; it is embarrassing.

That picture is at least 3 years old.

The PLA's uniform was changed in 2005, and guess what, the soldiers still were still wearing the old style ones.

The unrest happened in early March , due to the high altitude in Tibet, it is still very cold so you need something more that than to keep you warm. In the picture, people were just wearing jacket, that means the picture was taken in probably late spring which is May in Tibet.

That is really entertaining... do you really have to lie? I thought buddhist never lie, I guess I am wrong..

    Have a good day..

Why is that the Chinese fail to see the text ?

I think that the Chinese are really quite jealous (envy) because they would dearly love to have intelligence and resources that they see in the west. Their feeble attempts to appear civilised just backfire & hurt them even more.

Not their fault, its how they are (un)educated by their own state media. Our own media is largely pretty dismal too, but at least there is choice to find the few really good ones.

hmm, looks Chinese to me! Translaion anyone? No doubt they are apologising for their government's ruthlessness, and hoping that in the future their culture can be more sensitive and compassionate towards other cultures .. are there any other cultures apart from China? Or are they all just barbarians?

Can any Chinese person please tell me if there are any other cultures (ie not Chinese) that the general Chinese population admire and respect?

I found a Chinese to English online translator. I think "QED" is the only appropriate response. ("QED" is latin, meaning "I have just proven my case.

    CAUTION - foul language follows:

"Anthony, China envies the West? I thought you are lump excrement.Your West depends on trades the black slave to get rich very is also proud? Very is also civilized? Who is the most uncivilized country? You said you have the opportunity to discover the real news? How many did this your media have to confirm the truth? Takes the Nepalese police to come seriously, compiles the news ability is very strong."

    and then

"China envies the West “the civilization”, this kind the civilized Chinese who depends on colonizes gets rich really is also too difficult to learn, Zheng He's fleet really cannot with the Western yi ratio.Civilization? Without China, perhaps you scratch the buttocks the paper not to have use."

You really aren't doing your cause any good. Can't you see that?
    QED, LOL, 2 easy!

OK my last comment. Its not really appropriate to have a conversation here, but I do relish the opportunity.

Good media: In Australia the SBS is unrivaled - http://www20.sbs.com.au
    ABC is outstanding - http://www.abc.net.au
Theres many others, but start here.

Unfortunately you may never see them if you are behind the Great Firewall, but then if you were, you would not see this website, would you?

Actually I have enormous respect for traditional Chinese culture, as well as Indian culture.

They were indeed far more advanced than the west, in the arts and science. It is out of this respect that I am so horrified over what has been done to it, and what it has become, in the last century. Narrow minded, illiterate in the arts and philosophy, colonial, self centered, and ignorant of other cultures. Such a waste.

I do pray (to the Buddhas) for the Chinese every day - that it will regain its glory and dignity, and that its people will not suffer too badly for what it has done. I am sorry to have provoked you. It is unfair.
